The San Francisco Chronicle

The SF Chronicle office, the largest newsroom in Northern California, is a 22,375 square foot building located at 901 Mission Street in San Francisco. Owned by Hearst Corporation, the office was last remodeled in the 1970s. The improvements made during this 15-week remodel included restoring wood floors, 2 interactive media centers, and a floating wood ceiling throughout the main entrance lobby, 24 private offices, large open office space, and conference room on the 3rd floor. One major challenge during the course of the project was coordinating the building access and freight, as Hearst was concurrently developing two new high-rise buildings adjacent to the office.
