For this budget-driven project, SC Builders was tasked with generating an extensive value engineering list through close coordination with the architect, client user groups, and our design-build MEP subcontractors. As a result, the project team produced nearly $1,000,000 of VE options. These included protecting reclaimed wood walls, existing millwork, and breakrooms, as well as utilizing as much of the existing MEPFS infrastructure as possible.
Another challenge was coordinating with a geographically dispersed team: an architect in Seattle and a client in Colorado. We were able to complete the project on time and within budget.
