SC Builders invited teams of architects, clients, vendors and subcontractors to gather at the landmark Campo de Bocce in Los Gatos to compete for prize money on behalf of their favorite non-profit agency.

Even those who had never before touched a bocce ball quickly learned the simple rules and techniques, and everyone enjoyed the camaraderie, refreshments and friendly competition.

The winning teams--some sporting combinations of players from different companies--were:

1st prize ~ Reel Grobman Architects & SC Builders ($1,000 for Special Olympics)

2nd prize ~ Alfa Tech & Silicon Valley Mechanical ($750 for National Parkinson Foundation)

3rd prize ~ Allied North America Insurance Brokerage ($500 for Almaden Valley Pop Warner Football)

4th prize ~ Google, Inc. & City of Sunnyvale ($250 for Second Harvest Food Bank)
